Our film aims to convey to young people the enduring values of compassion, empathy and respect for the older generation. The story is based on a dramatic episode told to the filmmakers by Georgy Millyar, familiar to millions of children from screen adaptations of Russian fairy tales.

Here is what the cast and crew say about the film.
  • Maria Lisovaya
SMERSH. Continuation; An Hour Before Dawn; More Than Love; Russian Roller Coaster
“We are so short of kind films that can draw audiences. This is a very touching story. The heroine is a lonely person, and the old clown is lonely too. They were able to give each other so much”
  • Vsevolod Shilovsky
    People’s Artist of the RSFSR
“This is a human story about the older generation. For me there is something to play in it and something to live through. Getting a role like this is pure happiness”
  • Svetlana Nemolyaeva
    People’s Artist of the RSFSR
“I know a great many young people who enjoy watching kind films. A child’s mind is very receptive; you simply need to show them that there is more to life than advertising and money”
  • Yulia Rutberg
    People’s Artist of Russia
“I really want us to remember people, not just make blockbusters. We need simple stories about people’s lives, about things that happen to all of us. The focus has to shift towards the human being”
  • Oleg Fomin
    director of the film
“I wouldn’t set out to change anything with this film.
I hope that, for at least 20 minutes, it will help people forget about their troubles and think about something bright, good and kind”
